A 19th century Baluchari as seen in the Indian Museum is truly one of a kind. The craftsmanship seen on this saree is rarely seen in any other, but it is the aesthetics of the designer/weaver that leaves us spell bound. A saree featuring Adas or diagonal motifs running all through the saree embellished with small birds and flowers in stunning minakari without a separate palla makes this saree a true masterpiece.

Recreating this very special saree has been one of the most fulfilling experiences -the many possibilities around the colours of the mina, the placement of the motifs, the hundred other little details took more than half a year. Our very revered master-weaver deserves all the credit from bringing this to life. This is one saree we are truly proud of.
