Sudipta Ghosh is a textile artist and designer working primarily with hand-knotted tapestry. based in West Bengal, India. She recently completed her Master’s in Fine Art, specialising in Textile Design, from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, following her Bachelor’s in Design from the same institution. Her practice explores memory, everyday narratives, and emotional landscapes, translating them into tactile visual forms.

Her practice is rooted in the idea of “painting through weave,” where threads become a medium to express observation, memory, and emotion. Inspired by travel, landscapes, and climatic conditions, her work translates these experiences into abstract textile narratives. Rooted in traditional techniques yet informed by contemporary aesthetics, her work reflects a quiet dialogue between material, emotion, and space.
